It’s time we got down to it. I fly away to Vienna in 12 days and yet I’ve still not written about my trip to Paris in May. I’m a big ol’ procrastinator and I’ll add apologising about it to my to do list. So here we are. Paris, was the trip of a lifetime, with extra special meaning to me because, one, I’m a liitttllle bit obsessed with vintage Paris, and two, because I went on this trip with my best friend, my Mum. The trip wasn’t plain sailing we’d originally landed somewhere else and at 3pm in the afternoon decided to get a last minute train to Paris instead, because I wanted the trip to be a great one, my Mum hadn’t been abroad since the 80’s after all. You all know what Paris has to offer though, the sights to be seen, and I am a photographer, so instead of listing off the things to do there, I’m going to show you the parts of Paris that I loved because of their photographic and general charm. so here goes…
Reasons I loved Paris:
Because there were hidden gems at every turn.
Because I saw things I’d never seen before,
Like double decker trains…
…and a Bride and Groom in the middle of the road…
…and surrounded by pigeons.
Because the pigeons were clean and friendly.
Because I got to people watch.
Because every bit of architecture was a work of art.
Because there were no flowers anywhere so I got excited when I finally saw some.
Because on one boat trip you could see a dinosaur, a pirate ship, and the statue of liberty.
Because in Paris every part of shopping is on another level.
Because the Moulin Rouge and the Basilica du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre are in walking distance of each other.
Because the rain doesn’t dampen anybody’s spirits in Paris.
Because the Eiffel Tower ❤
Because I got to be so high up to see the world
and because I’ve dreamed of going there since I was a little girl, and it was everything and more than I could ever have imagined.
Hope you’ve enjoyed looking through the things I loved about Paris and the photographs I took. See you next week!
